Project Breakdown
Book of Luminous Objects started with a concertina book and watercolours. The shift from sketchbooks to concertina folds changed everything. Ideas stopped sitting on pages and started flowing across them, each fold leading somewhere unexpected.
The watercolour work draws from the mind's eye. Places visited, spaces felt, memories. Never from reference images. It became autobiographical without meaning to. Going back, rethinking, letting things surface.
Alongside this, a deepening practice in TouchDesigner and Blender reconnected with VJing from the 2000s. Real time, live, gestural. The new tools let you work the way you always wanted to but couldn't.
Book of Luminous Objects brings these together. Each entry is a short film, a sound work, a process study. Rooted in night and light and the things that hold your attention when the noise stops. It's a sketchbook made visible. Showing the process feels more important now than it ever has.
The concertina book is empty. Each fold will become an exploration. When it's full, it becomes a touring exhibition and installation.
